Types of Content:
A simple set of content types that can be demonstrated to cover a wide variety of needs, both expected and unexpected.
Basic content types include contacts, addresses/locations, phone numbers, email addresses, topics, , notes/articles, URLs, electronic documents, images, audio, video.
Function, Structure and Navigation:
Present complex information in an easy to digest format through the implementation of hawk technology.
hawkVision developed as a web application. The structure of the user's experience is determined moment to moment as they move through the world of knowledge in the site.
hawk two dimensional navigation including current focus item view with its connections, current focus item full view with its connections in a larger format for more thorough examination while remaining focused on the current item. Featured items set up for guests by authenticated users. Favorites and recent views for authenticated users.
Themes and skins allow the designer, site owner and users to affect visual design and behavior on the fly.
The site is currently displaying the most basic theme. Additional preconfigured themes will be added that will allow the user to change themes from moment to moment while using the site.
Behaviors are a future feature that will allow authenticated users to designate behaviors when content items are connected. Behaviors can be different visual and tactile skins that are applied under certain conditions. A simple example would be to display the item in a prominent manner when viewed from a particular perspective. ie. when viewing this phone number while focusing on this contact, display it at the top of the list and give it a drop shadow to accentuate it. An advanced example would be; when someone views this note while focused on this person, show only the summary and require a password to look at the full transcript, all the while making entries in the akashic record of the site.
The functions provided by client side development are a large part of the hawk experience and is the next focus of the our development.
hawk will have a variety of user experiences available as the product matures, including innovative board layouts that a user can shift between moment by moment, a 2D canvas that hawk will use to draw each current view in perspective, spin-able 3D tanks in which hawk will construct each current view in perspective, immersive 3D worlds where the user can move about the hawkSpace in 3D, and innovative new concepts for the presentation of hawkSpaces in very small format devices, such as smart phones.
